WebMy hair is too short to really plop. I do wrap my hair in a Curlease towel while I dress and do makeup. For me, I get this when the towel "pulls" on the longer pieces--it does that on the front, lowest layer pieces. I "scrunch and pump" when I take it out of the Curlease.
